Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This policy is published by Tech-Gurunomics, a DBA of CRIBINC, LLC ("we", "us"). It covers this website and the apps listed below. Each app works differently, so each has its own section. If an app section and the general section disagree, the app section wins for that app.

This website (tech-gurunomics.com)
- We do not use advertising, ad networks or third-party analytics on this site.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply and provide the service you asked about.
- If you buy Store Compliance Pages, payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's checkout page. We do not see or store your card number. We keep the name, email, app details and payment records needed to provide the service and keep business and tax records. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Mise Books (iPhone, in testing)
Mise Books is a bookkeeping app for small businesses and the self-employed: receipts, expenses and Schedule C preparation. It is currently in testing and not yet released on the App Store.
- Receipts. Mise Books is designed to read receipt text on your own phone. Receipt photos are processed on the device for text recognition.
- Your records. The receipts, expenses and categories you enter are financial information about you or your business. We treat them as sensitive.
- No advertising. Mise Books does not show ads and we do not sell your information.
- Before release. This section will be completed before Mise Books is released, with exactly what (if anything) leaves your device, where it is stored, which third-party services are involved, and how long it is kept. If any of that changes after release, we will update this page and its date before the change ships.
- Not tax advice. Mise Books helps you organize records. It does not file taxes for you and is not a substitute for a tax professional.
Lectern Bible (iPad)
Lectern does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data. Your study stays on your iPad.
- No user accounts and no sign-in. No analytics or usage tracking. No advertising or ad networks. No third-party tracking SDKs.
- Your verse notes, sermon notes, journal, prayer list, reading-plan progress and settings are stored locally on your device. We never receive them. If you use Apple device backup or iCloud Backup, that copy is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Lectern Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through the App Store (a one-time unlock, or a yearly subscription with a free trial). Apple processes the payment. We never see your card number, Apple ID password or billing address. The app only learns, through StoreKit on your device, whether your Apple ID is entitled to Lectern Pro.
- Scripture texts (King James Version, World English Bible) and bundled public-domain study notes are read offline on the device.
- Lectern does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Bible-StudyGuide (iPhone, iPad and web app at app.cribinc.com)
- Account. Sign-in is handled by Clerk (clerk.cribinc.com). Clerk holds your email address, your name if you gave one, and your sign-in credentials, under Clerk's privacy policy. Our servers never receive your password. Our backend reads the account identifier Clerk assigns you and, only to check complimentary access, the email address in your session token.
- What you create. Volumes (notebooks), sources (text you type or paste, links, uploaded files, text from scanned pages), notes and insights, and your settings are stored on our servers under your account identifier and are readable only by your own signed-in requests. Uploaded files are stored so their text can be extracted and searched. When you add a link, our server fetches that page, so the page's operator may see a request from our server.
- Your AI provider key. Bible-StudyGuide is bring-your-own-key. Keys are encrypted at rest and never returned by our API. When you ask for an insight, chat with a source, or create embeddings, the relevant text is sent to the AI provider you chose, under your own account with them, and is then also governed by that provider's policy.
- Scanning. Text recognition for scanned pages runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Photos are not uploaded or stored; only the recognized text is saved as a source.
- Payments. Subscriptions are handled by Stripe. We keep only the subscription identifiers, status, plan and period end date that Stripe provides.
- Deleting your account. You can delete your account inside the iOS app: Account (at the foot of your shelf) > Delete Account, then confirm. This removes your volumes, sources, notes, insights and stored provider keys from our servers. It does not cancel a subscription. You can also ask us by email. Details: Account & data deletion.
- Audio overviews. Scripts are written by your chosen AI provider under your key; audio is produced by a text-to-speech service we run, or by a speech provider you configured.
- What we do not do. No advertising or ad networks. No third-party analytics SDK in the iOS app. We do not sell your information. We do not use your study to train models on our behalf. Our servers keep ordinary operational logs to keep the service running.
- Bible-StudyGuide is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your rights, retention and deletion
You can ask us what we hold about you, for a copy, for a correction, or for deletion. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law; we honor them either way. We keep account data for as long as your account exists, and delete it when you delete your account or ask us to, except records we must keep by law (for example payment and tax records). Bible-StudyGuide users can delete their account inside the app (Account > Delete Account); see Account & data deletion for each app.
Changes
We will post changes on this page with a new date. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will say so plainly.
